WE FINALLY TRIED 塚田農場 美人鍋 TSUKADA NOJO BEAUTY POT!
We reached the Tsukada Nojo restaurant located at Plaza Singapura at 7pm. The waitress told us that we had to wait for about an hour or so. We were quite shocked, but since we were already there, we decided to wait.
Take a look at the menu :

Eating the Bijin Nabe!!
Tsukada Nojo's specialty is the Bijin Nabe with the golden Jidori chicken soup. The Bijin Nabe is a combination of vegetables, seafood and chicken cooked in the soup. The soup is cooked for about 8 hours until the chicken bones are fully dissolved and then it is allowed to cool down. The soup turns into a smooth silky pudding that is super rich in collagen, which is very good for both men and women.

Bijin Nabe is served with chicken, prawns and vegetables and noodles. Tsukada Nojo provides you with 3 choices of noodles: thin egg noodle, thick mochi noodle or rice noodle. We chose the thin egg noodles. As it was our first time here, the helpful waitress explained the correct way of eating it.

We waited for the collagen jelly to melt in the hot pot. Then we took a sip of soup using a sake cup. After that, we started to stir the soup and we fished out the pieces of chicken that were cooked in the soup. There are 4 different types of dips for the chicken : chilli shoyu, negi ginger oil, yuzu pepper and red chilli oil. I like theYuzu Pepper dip best!
Next, the waitress started to place the chicken meatballs into the soup. Followed by the yellow zucchini, lady’s finger, watermelon radish, baby corn and yuzu. Next, she added in the deep fried tofu, sunflower sprouts, black fungus, mushrooms, baby sweet potato leaves and fresh shrimps.
Finally, we added the thin egg noodles in. The soup is very rich and savory. The first refill is complimentary, but subsequent refills are chargeable.

While we were tucking in, the waitress came to our table and told us that this seaweed is for us to try. She mentioned that it would give the soup more depth, so we decided to try it. PLUS the seaweed came in the shape of a heart! Awwwww........♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Our dinner came with a plate of complimentary sweet plum jelly. So arigato to the staff in the kitchen!
VERDICT :
It was a good experience for us. The taste is very different from the normal steamboats that we eat. We totally wouldn't mind coming again for their collagen steamboat even though we might have to queue for a long time. They also have two more outlets at Chinatown Point and Westgate.
PRICE :
$25 per person for a set (2 persons max).
